PRINTING METHODS

Our fabrics are produced using traditional techniques such as block printing, screen printing and Ikat weaving and have been purposely designed to give a handmade, uneven and aged look. These handmade fabrics have irregularities in printing pressure and pattern repeats. Such features should be expected are not considered faults. Please do not order from Mahala Textiles if you would like a perfect, machine made finish.

CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS, SHRINKAGE & FADING

Mahala Textile's fabrics are strictly dry clean only. Gentle dry cleaning, even with the best service, will cause shrinkage and fading. The natural fibres and water-based pigments used in our printing processes cannot be guaranteed against fading, particularly when exposed to direct sunlight. Shrinkage of 3-5% of total width and length from atmospheric conditions should be expected. Mahala Textile's cannot accept claims for any shrinkage or fading caused by any reason or condition. Creasing is inherent of natural fabrics. Excessive heat from steaming may cause fabrics to warp and should be avoided.
